Research Officer

Friends for Peace (FFP), a reputed Kathmandu-based peace research organization is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and qualified Candidate for the position of Research Officer on contractual basis.

THE CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC COMPETENCES:

a) Should preferably hold a Masters Degree or above in Peace/Conflict Studies or other relevant disciplines of Social Sciences, with 4-5 years experience.
b) Should possess a high degree of team work and be able, to prepare concept notes, research proposals, undertake field researches using different tools of qualitative and quantitative researches, and write reports.
c) Should possess a high level of proficiency in verbal and written English and Nepali languages of a publishable standard.
d) Should be able to work in multi-lingual and multi-ethnic environment, with a
special knack for PR and networking.
e) Should possess a high level of computer efficiency, the use of Microsoft office packages, including page-maker, pdf and SPSS website update.

GROSS SALARY: Rs 50,000/- per month, plus other benefits.
