Handicap International (HI) is an international organisation working for the prevention of disability and the physical and social rehabilitation of people with disabilities. HI is a non-political and non-religious organisation, with its headquarters in France, 25 years of solidarity. HI is inviting applications from qualified professionals for the following positions:

Project Managers (3 positions)

The Project Managers will organise and coordinate their respective project's activities, including financial management and reporting, for maximum impact for the people involved. They will ensure that project activities meet required quality standards, results and targets. They will network with and assist numerous local partner organisations and ensure best collaboration with internal/external stakeholders and donors.


COMMON REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong project management and coordination capacity
• Experience in developing training courses, workshops and tools for various audiences with strong orientation towards final impact and capacity building
• Efficient at organizing multiple activities with various components
• Advanced understanding of a partnership approach, exceptional capacities of networking and coordinating at community level
• Excellent reporting and writing skills
• Highly adaptable and motivated, capacity and desire to work within international environment; loyalty towards the project, team and organisation; willing to learn about a rights based approach when, working with people with disability.


ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

• For the "Surgery" Manager, strong (at least 3 years) clinical, experience in physical rehabilitation and/or disability.
• For "Rehabilitation Sustainability" Manager, strong knowledge, experience and understanding in cost recovery systems and public health/social services financial management (sustainability).
• For "Advocacy and Rights" Manager, strong experiences and capacity in design and implementation of advocacy strategies and actions in development and social inclusion (Advocacy)


CONDITIONS, SALARY & BENEFITS:


• All position are based in Handicap International Programme Office, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, with up to 50% travel in rural areas of Nepal.

• Attractive salary and benefits package; Duration of the contract is 1 year (6 months for the "Surgery" Manager), renewable.
