Handicap International (HI) is an international organisation working for the prevention of disability and the physical and social rehabilitation of people with disabilities. HI is a non-political and non-religious organisation, with its headquarters in France, 25 years of solidarity. HI is inviting applications from qualified professionals for the following positions:

Liaison / Information Officer

The Liaison and Information Officer will support and assist the liaison, communication and information management of the Organisation. S/he will be responsible for the identification, development and efficient implementation of the information management, liaison and communication requirements, initiatives and actions in line with the programme's needs and strategy with highest standards.


REQUIREMENTS:


• Education: University degree in related field (communication, development) preferably with complementary master degree.

• At least three to five years of work experience in the field of liaison, communication and information management; passionate about the field of information and communication.

• Knowledge of information management and communication practices and tools; strong demonstrated personal capacities and assets in liaison with diverse people and audiences; working knowledge of databases and database management; knowledge of website development/maintenance would be an asset.

• Very well organized, systematic and resourceful individual able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize among assignments: highly adaptable, flexible and motivated; optimistic, constructive with a dynamic approach to work.

• Excellent computer skills; fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali with exceptional writing skills and interest.

• Good knowledge and understanding of disability and social issues with strong will and interest to work in these fields.

• Strong team player, with a positive and enthusiastic mindset and loyalty towards the projects, team and organization.


CONDITIONS, SALARY & BENEFITS:


• All position are based in Handicap International Programme Office, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, with up to 50% travel in rural areas of Nepal.

• Attractive salary and benefits package; Duration of the contract is 1 year (6 months for the "Surgery" Manager), renewable.
