Medical Officer (Doctor)(NGO)

Child Welfare Scheme Nepal is a progressive and well structured NGO that is committed to provide quality primary health care for disadvantaged children and mother in the Kaski and Lamjung districts. We are looking for a motivated and energetic person for it's Health Care Program. Candidates with the required qualification and competencies are invited to apply for the position. Internal training and mentoring will be provided for the successful candidate.

Position: Medical Officer (Doctor)
Required No.: 1 (one)

QUALIFICATION: MBBS with minimum one year of experience. Paediatric and Gyneco/obstetric experience preferable.


COMPETENCIES:

• Practical experience in clinical (primary health care) services and in pediatric care.
• Particular interest in Gyneco/obstetric care.
• Understanding/experience of community health programs.
• Experience in teaching of Health Care Worker.
• Excellent communication, coordination and co-operational skills. Fluent in written and spoken English and Nepali.
• Able to commit for a minimum of 2 to 3 years.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide patient care at pediatric and maternal day clinic.
• Supervise the activities in the safe motherhood programme and advice on prescription and/or referral.
• Supervise the quality of work of junior health workers.
• Supervise and support Asha Clinic, Mobile Clinics and safe motherhood program.
• Support and organize medical teaching sessions for health care workers.
• Participate in management meetings and pro-actively participate in achieving good quality of care and create a child friendly environment.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Support in the management of the day to day running of the clinic.
