Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, as implementing partner with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, under the agreements OSRO/NEP/801/SPA and OSRO/NEP/805/SWE is seeking consultancy services from Nepalese nationals for the following four Subject areas:
National Nutritionist Consultant (OSRO/NEP/801/SPA) – ONE
The national Nutritionist consultant will provide her/his inputs over a period of eight months for the implementation of nutrition related activities in the Mid Western region. With duty station in Kathmandu and Nepalgunj and frequent field trips in project areas, she / he will: assist in increasing the understanding of household food security, nutrition and health issues in the project districts and coordinate training activities on basic food nutrition, diet diversity, related health issues and food processing, including the preparation of training materials.
QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES: The candidate will have a degree in food and nutrition/food science/agricultural science or other related subject matter with at least three years of confirmed professional experience in nutrition.
