The UNDP and UNCDF supported "Enhancing Access to Financial Service Project" is looking for experienced and qualified Nepalese Citizens for the following positions:

Post Title: Deputy Technical Advisor (NPPP- 4)
Number of Position: One
Duty Station: Kathmandu, with frequent travels in the districts throughout Nepal
Duration: Initially one year/renewable



MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under overall guidance and supervision of the Project Manager (PM) and Resident Chief Technical Advisor (RCTA), the Deputy Technical Advisor will assist the RCTA on project implementation. The incumbent will assist RCTA in the following areas:

• Work Planning and Managing Technical Assistance Team
• Supporting NRB to Establish and manage the Fund for Inclusive Finance (FIF)
• Technical Support to Investors for receiving funds from the FIF
• Technical support to promote SCG linkage banking scheme.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND REQUIRED SKILL:

• Ph.D. with 7 year of work experience or Master degree with 10 years of work experience in micro finance, economics, or related social field from a reputable University.
• Working experience with recognized national or international organization in the areas of micro finance, micro enterprise development and micro finance policy research or poverty reduction
• A dynamic, results-oriented and self-motivated personality with a sense of initiative, and consistently approaches to change and ability to manage complexities.
• Deep technical knowledge and experience in Microfinance Good Practices.
• Demonstrated ability in development project; planning, implementation and monitoring and openness to change and ability to manage complexities.
• Strong inter-personal and human resource development skills; training and facilitation skills will be a distinct advantage.
• Excellent organizational, communication and administrative skills, team building including solid experience in financial projections and management.
• Previous experiences in UNDP or the UN system will be an asset.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in Nepali and English including negotiation and presentation, and Computer knowledge must.
