KIRDARC - Nepal is an NGO dedicated to Human Rights. Peace, Media and Development in Karnali Zone since 1999. Of the many projects/programs, KIRDARC - Nepal is implementing "Sustainable safe drinking water supply, hygiene and health improvements" project since January 2009 in partnership with Mission East, handed by European Commission.
KIRDARC - Nepal seeks applications from eligible and competent Nepali citizens for this project in the following positions:
Position: Technical Officer (based in Shreenagar/Sarkhegat VDC, Humla District)
QUALIFICATION, MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY COMPETENCIES:
• Bachelor in Engineering with three years work experience in gravity drinking water systems design and construction.
• Feasibility study, design, drawing, budget estimation, implementation and management of the new/rehabilitation safe drinking water schemes
• Financial and human resource management including monitoring, documentation and reporting of the drinking water part
• Communication and facilitation skills and ability to write and speak English and Nepali
• Regular field visit and hands on coaching to technical supervisors, social technicians and community health mobilizers.
