Premises Management Assistant

The United Nations Development Programme in Nepal is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Nepalese citizen for the position of:

Contract Type: SB-3,II

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Procurement Associate, Programme Delivery Support Unit and the general guidance of the Operations Manager, the incumbent supervises and co-ordinates all tasks related to the Office Space Management for DEX projects at the fourth floor of KSK (Annex 4) Building including the internal and external Messenger Services, cleaning services, security services, IT Services and other services related to the overall management of the DEX Office premise. Primarily the duty is to provide the services to the project offices located at the Annex 4 Building, and ensure that cost recovery for office occupancy is duly made. The works require liaison with the project managers/AFAs and Administration Associate, UN Common Services. The incumbent is expected to maintain details on the bills received and payments made related to telephone, mobile and other expenses pertaining to management of office space.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

The post requires good planning and co-ordination skills to ensure a rather wide variety of activities, often with an urgent nature, to be carried out in an efficient and economic manner. A sound judgment skill is required to supervise the tasks done by other people and ability to handle the situation. The incumbent must be very well versed with building management activities and should have a fairly good knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint.


EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: At least 3 years of experience in administrative, financial and logistic tasks. Experience in UN or other bilateral organization will be an added advantage.

EDUCATION: Bachelors in related field.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Fluency in spoken and written English and Nepali languages.
