Helen Keller International / Nepal is seeking candidate for: Action against Malnutrition through Agriculture (AAMA) Project

District Program Officers (Kailali - 1, Baitadi - 1)


REQUIREMENTS:


■ A minimum bachelor's degree in agriculture or public health or health education.

■ At least 4 years experience in health/ nutrition and agriculture related programme implementation

■ Proficiency in written and spoken English

■ Willing to travel to rural settings frequently.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


■ Coordinate homestead food production (HFP) and Essential Nutrition Actions (ENA) field activities in the project area with all partners, including district officers, local NGOs staff, FCHVs and participating mothers' group members

■ Assist the staff of local NGOs and district officers when they conduct training sessions for project beneficiaries at the grassroots level

■ Assist in the establishment of Village Model Farms and household gardens in the project area

■ Prepare field activities and other related reports

■ Assist project partners to procure seeds, poultry and other inputs, in consultation with the HFP Coordinator

■ Monitor and support the field activities of the partner NGOs, including reviewing their monthly financial reports.
